The CFO will be part of the C-Team and will have a direct reporting line to the CEO. Therefore, the incumbent will further develop and mature the finance structures, corporate and administrative processes, and adapt systems in a fast-moving scale-up company. The active development of customized project financing solutions and the maintenance of a well-structured reporting system to investors as well as the motivating management of employees in the areas of finance and supply chain will be decisive for the further transformation of the company. Work in partnership with the CEO as business partner, the investment team of Infracapital, the ENERGYNEST Board and the Leadership Team to drive the growth and performance of the business.
Play a key role as a member of the Leadership Team, challenging peers constructively.
Financial Analysis, Budgeting, Performance Management & Control


Provide a reporting for the Leadership Team, Infracapital and the ENERGYNEST Board to influence and shape commercial and strategic decision-making.
Ensure the accuracy, integrity and timeliness of financial reporting and ensure compliance with any relevant reporting standards. Work with the Leadership Team to minimize risk throughout the business and report risk issues to the ENERGYNEST Board and Infracapital.
Building close relationships with key external advisors such as auditors and accounting partners, tax advisors, insurance brokers and lawyers. Managing relationships with leading banks.
Supply Chain & Project Cost down roadmap


Improve the company’s supply chain activities by developing business opportunities with key partners and suppliers, driving ENERGYNEST´s Project/CAPEX cost down roadmap.
Contracting, negotiation and supplier relationship management for continuous cost improvements or addition of value-adding drivers within partner/supplier eco-system.
Oversee the legal support for project implementation and commercial contract developing, drafting and negotiating. Proved thought leadership with regard to financial aspects and structuring in very close cooperation with the commercial team on deal closures.
Became a trusted and respective sparring partner for the Leadership Team.
You have at least ten years of working experience within a finance function with a minimum of five years of relevant leadership experience as either Stand-alone CFO, or Regional CFO, or Business Unit CFO or in a role reporting directly to the CFO.
You can offer experience in working within a private equity portfolio or a venture capital funded company is a plus.
Strong track-record of finance business collaborating to effectively drive growth and create and protect shareholder value.
You have experience in successfully leading financing rounds (debt or equity) in order to underpin the business with the needed resources for future growth. Technical experience will cover the range of financial systems and accounting standards, with a thorough understanding of financial control, financial analysis, financial reporting, audit, and risk/insurance.
You are an excellent motivator and team enabler with strong leadership skills bringing diverse teams together. You are characterized by your optimism and vision, both qualities that we need for our fairly new team and in our current scale up phase. you are hands-on and pragmatic and are used to leading by example.
The successful candidate will have a university degree, ideally in business administration with focus on finance and controlling. You have excellent communication and presentation skills in English (C1-level). Good knowledge of German is an advantage, but not a must.
