Join us.Job DescriptionThe Financial Accountant will support Finance Manager for timely delivery of statutory accounts, financial accounting and reporting and will oversee internal controls, intercompany, treasury and tax areas ensuring compliance with US and German GAAP. The successful candidate will be based in Germany, Neu Isenburg. Other office locations Kaiserslautern and Essen will be in scope of this position.Key Responsibilities:Support Finance Manager to ensure local statutory accounts and tax returns are prepared on timeSupport the statutory audits and ongoing tax auditPrimary point of contact for external accountants, statutory auditors and external tax consultants.Support Finance Manager by actively coordinating Oracle month end activities including reporting within small group of accountants (2 currently), according to US GAAPCoordinate the R2R monthly closing and Group reportingEnsure the company complies with AECOM internal controlsMonitor that the activities transitioned to Manila are running smoothlyLiaison with Shared Service Centres (Manila and Bucharest) for payments and invoice processingDrive the improvements of processes for accounting processes and statutory accountingIdentify areas for improvement in the local B/S reconciliations and drive improvementSupport monitor cash management & forecasting and liaison with Treasury departmentLiaise closely with Tax team to manage the transfer pricing analysis and any other tax mattersAssist with any ad hoc requests from the finance and operational teamQualificationsEducation & QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Accounting is requiredRequired ExperienceMinimum of 6 years’ experience in similar role, preferably in a multinational environmentExcellent written and spoken English and Germany is essentialExcellent Microsoft Office Excel SkillsAbility to work to tight deadlines in an accurate mannerExcellent numeracy skillsAbility to work as part of a wider team and with remote teamsExcellent analytical organisational, communication and interpersonal skillsDesired ExperienceExperience with Oracle is preferredPractical experience of US group audit or a US reporting environmentAdditional InformationAECOM provides a wide array of compensation and benefits programs to meet the diverse needs of our employees and their families.
